A former airfield has been transformed and now boasts Food Works; a food and drink innovation centre.

The centre of excellence for food and drink businesses is enjoying a successful start since completing in the early stages of lockdown.

The current pandemic has highlighted the importance of food production and the centre is ideally placed to help the region to respond to the impact of the coronavirus, offering food-grade business units, development kitchens and technical support.

Developed within the Junction 21 Enterprise Area by North Somerset Council, with funding from West of England Local Enterprise Partnership, the centre was procured through Scape and AWW was appointed, together with Cambria Consulting and McCann & Partners, by Willmott Dixon to design this new centre of excellence.
