Dolphin Primary School, Phase II

Following the success of Phase I, AWW was appointed to develop an independent 420 place 2FE primary school on a tight inner city former factory site, as Phase II of the School’s redevelopment. The scheme includes two halls used for music teaching, physical education and indoor sports.

A primary aim of the design has been to provide as many classrooms as possible with access to an outside play or learning area. Addressing the constraints of this site has resulted in the creation of roof terraces, including a roof garden. The scheme has also been designed so that 20% of energy requirements will come from renewable sources.
