The refurbished building Imperial Brands building provides additional office space to complement Imperial’s new award winning headquarters building constructed on the adjacent site. The refurbishment of the existing site had to directly correlate to the newly built Phase I. Imperial was keen that there was no differential between the two buildings in either appearance or character.

The tired remains of the former factory have taken on a new lease of life to proudly stand beside the Headquarters. Phase II is more than just an office space; it is proud to boast elements of community benefit, including a commercial top of the range nursery and a valuable facility to both staff and the local community. With employee welfare at the heart of all that they do there is also the 0.194ha all-weather sports pitch.

The quality of the internal environment, including open plan office space, a multi-functional meeting suite, café and external terraces bring a consistent design philosophy and approach to that of the Headquarters building. The spaces are both dynamic and offer flexibility.

The two storey 4,738sqm office space, which accommodates 243 Imperial employees, and 543sqm nursery building reflects its sister Headquarters building, mirroring both façade and interior. The façade is light, bright and crisp, it invites the Imperial workforce to it.
