Mindenhurst Primary School

AWW was appointed by Skanska to develop building designs for the 2 Form Entry Mindenhurst Primary School, as part of a significant residential and community regeneration scheme proposed at Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Surrey. The school will act as a new focus point within the heart of the community, centrally located and linked via a network of sustainable path and cycle ways.

A strong vernacular has been established which will tie into the surrounding new residential proposals and other community buildings. This will assist in establishing a quality benchmark for the residential lots which follow.

The school will include two nursery classrooms with associated spaces that can be operated independently. Furthermore, two reception classrooms and 12 more classrooms to accommodate years 1,2 and junior children are located over the ground and first floors. Break out spaces and small specialist group rooms are supported by the larger library resource, small and large halls.
