AWW Architects AWW Architects

AWW has recently designed and successfully delivered planning permission for what will be the new Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture (Cefas) headquarter building, located in Lowestoft. The facility will create a leading centre for applied science by providing a new modern three storey office building, and by refurbishing the existing four storey laboratory facilities.

Work on site began in November 2017 with AWW taking the project forward as Lead Consultant and Architect. Our design allows for phased demolition, refurbishment and new build activities on site that will ensure the continued seamless operation of the existing and new facilities that are home to over 450 research scientists and support staff.
