RESI Award 2018 highly commended for Development of the Year

This regeneration of the former gasworks site at Brandon Yard in Bristol’s Harbourside will provide 58 one, two and three bedroom stylish and sustainable apartments. The site has been derelict for nearly 40 years and contains the ruins of two Grade-II listed buildings, West Purifier House and Engine House.

These buildings will be fully restored, including the iconic chimney of Engine House. The scheme will also deliver improvements to the Harbourside Walk where it passes the site.

A public exhibition of the proposals was held at the Harbourside Pavilion in 2016 with more than 100 local residents attending. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with residents welcoming the opportunity to finally regenerate a site currently regarded as an eyesore.
