Working closely with Square Bay and the plot development teams for over three years, we have unlocked this complex and sensitive city centre site to provide new homes, work space and a secondary school, bringing new jobs and high quality public realm to this historically significant part of Bristol.

The plans for the 10.6 acres of land in the Temple Meads Enterprise Zone allow for up to 350m2 of cafe space, 371 dwellings, 1,600 pupil secondary school and 693 student beds.

A comprehensive landscape strategy has been developed for the site, which will open up the canalside to the public for the first time at this location. Highways and access improvements, include new cycle and pedestrian links through the low-car development.

The remains of a number of listed buildings on the site reflecting the area’s heritage will also be retained and restored, as well as the iconic canal wall.
