Weston All Saints Primary School has officially been opened by Her Royal Highnesss the Duchess of Gloucester.

AWW worked with Midas Construction to deliver the new £3.5m school which replaced the dilapidated 1950s buildings with 8 new classrooms, improved IT suites, a multi-purpose and a swimming pool.

WASPS’ Head Teacher Ann Bull said, “Everyone associated with the school is delighted with the facilities.”

The Duchess of Gloucester toured the new school admiring students’ work and meeting staff and pupils before unveiling the ceremonial plaque that will commemorate the official opening.

The duchess said, “I congratulate all involved in the building. I can see you make a tremendous school and I wish you all the best for the future.”

WASPS places great emphasis on the arts with students enjoying embroidery, writing poetry and working with stained glass, and as a reminder of her day the Duchess was presented with a needlework wasp by one of the pupils.
