AWW worked in partnership with SGA Architects in Delhi to prepare an innovative concept design for a new Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Raipur. This new campus proposed a centralised academic block containing a library/IT suite with teaching spaces and residential units for both students and academics.
In addition, the campus proposed including outreach units and a conference centre.
Harnessing the natural cooling potential from a nearby existing lake was integral to the scheme’s life-cycle focused performance strategy. Using a cold-energy transfer loop to help cool the buildings naturally, the electrical energy demand was greatly reduced offering longer-term project price certainty.
