Project Breakdown

AWW was appointed to carry out the architectural technical drawing delivery and a full interior design service for the first phase, 72-bed new-build hotel to complement the existing conferencing and spa facilities in 19th Century buildings already on site.

The restaurant, lounge and bedrooms are all housed within a contemporary shell which belies the glamour and elegance of the interior. Atmospheric lighting and feature wall coverings create the perfect backdrop for over-sized gilt-framed mirrors, anglepoise lamps and the slick wenge/zebrano headboard wardrobes in each room.

The result is stylish, classic and contemporary accommodation synonymous with the quality associated with the Doubletree Hilton brand.

Sustainability

The first hotel project in the South West region to be awarded the Green Tourism Board ‘Gold Award’. The building was commended for energy efficient and low carbon installations and operation.

AWW was a breath of fresh air on my 72 bedroom 4* contemporary hotel project. They have great resources and imagination; this is coupled with enthusiasm and dedication for a scheme that they truly take ownership of. I would not hesitate to use them on my future projects. Nick Taplin - Client
