Philip Bevan

Director and Architect

“We enjoy the challenge of creating innovative, sustainable buildings for complex urban sites.”

Phil’s strong leadership guides projects through a comprehensive, rigorous and engaging programme to achieve aspirational design solutions. In particular, he enjoys the challenge of finding solutions to complex urban sites which demand a mix of uses.

The conversion of historic and often listed buildings is one of Phil’s specialities, from a number of the listed former orphanages at Bristol College to the multi-award winning, landmark Brandon Yard project on Bristol’s harbourside. Regenerating and breathing new life into these valued historic assets is critical in securing their future.

Phil brings his experience and enthusiasm to bear on projects across all sectors, working with the client and design teams to find the optimum solution for even the most challenging of sites. In particular, he has a passion for designing high quality living accommodation, from city centre apartments to student accommodation where he has delivered in excess of 2,000 rooms to date.

Phil is a former chair of the Forum of the Built Environment, South West. He remains an active supporter of the organisation and strongly believes in the benefits of collaborating with fellow professionals across all sectors of the construction industry.
