AWW was very pleased to attend the official opening ceremony for Highbridge Medical Centre on Wednesday 17th July.

Jane Barrie OBE, Chairman of Somerset NHS, officially unveiled the new AWW designed extension at a practice open-day where patients, old and new, were invited to tour the new facilities.

The much needed extension to the medical centre saw the addition of 6 new consulting rooms and 2 new treatment rooms. The new medical centre is now well placed to provide quality care to meet those issues and is able to offer a wide range of services including minor surgery and diabetes and asthma clinics.

Practice Manager Joanne Farnworth said, “We are delighted so many patients came along today to view the new surgery extension”.

“The new extension to the health centre means we are now able to provide many more services to our patients and the overall extra space means we can be more versatile if we need to adapt for future service needs.“

With a practice of 30 staff the Highbridge Medical Centre is now ready to provide the community with the facilities and spaces necessary for a practice in the 21st century.
