The first phase of the Institute of Technology and Management (ITM) is nearing completion in Ugep, Nigeria. This initial stage involved the completion of an existing partially built structure that had been abandoned for some time. The scheme provides technical education teaching and learning facilities for the first intake of students who arrive in a few weeks’ time. AWW Director David Perkin, who was on site last week to interview contractors for the much larger new build second phase, which is due to start on site in March, commented “it is very exciting to see our strategy to move into the international market start to deliver, and a great privilege for AWW to be able to support the State Government in their efforts to improve Technical Education in Cross River State”.
