Residential : Surrey Street, Croydon – The Exchange
RICS London Awards 2011 – Shortlisted for Community Benefit and Regeneration
The project includes part demolition, refurbishment and extension of a former Telephone Exchange to provide 66 apartments above new Ground Floor retail premises. The residential element meets a target ‘very good’ ECO Homes rating, with a variety of sustainable measures including a mix of green and brown roofs.
The Exchange is entirely private apartments with a limited account of Café / Restaurant space at ground level. AWW has helped regenerate an historic area which will rejuvenate the local area, restore civic pride and delight generations to come.
