The building includes rainwater harvesting and has incorporated an exposed floor slab to some of the IT areas which is water chilled and replaces A/C in these areas.

The teaching areas, (the Construction section in particular) have been designed to be a flexible space and reflect the changing demand for particular skill sets. For example when first constructed, the area for Plumbing was by far the largest. This has subsequently been changed as the requirement for painting and decorating & brick laying have developed.
