Millfields Inspired, a charity formed by the Millfields Trust to encourage young people to make informed choices about their futures, organised a workshop in collaboration with South West Women in Construction (SWWIC) for girls from six Plymouth primary schools to inspire them to think about careers in the construction industry.

Lucie Tapshott, aged 10, from St George’s, said: “I wanted to be a hairdresser before I came here and now I want to think about being an architect.”

AWW’s Niki Read was one of the inspiring women encouraging the girls to consider different opportunities.
