With the exam period well underway this year’s hopefuls are turning their eyes to university placements. Plymouth University, named as one of the top 50 research universities in the country, with its place as the largest Health Education provider in the South West is gearing up to welcome the new intake of students.
AWW is pleased to announce its part in this with the redevelopment of Frobisher House. The new facility will provide 120 student accommodation places just 5 minutes walk away from the University campus.
With Plymouth’s membership of the University Alliance group attracting world class calibre students to the area, it is clear to see that quality growth is a key factor to both the University and the city, and as such quality facilities are going to increasingly be expected.
AWW is working closely with the local authority planning teams to enable the street elevation to be enhanced whilst still increasing the floor space, enabling an existing envelope to be transformed into a facility that will provide a technologically superior affordable accommodation for decades to come.
Work will start on site July 2012 finishing in time for the September 2013 student intake.
