AWW provides a full range of architectural design across all sectors. We place great emphasis on creative design which delivers our clients’ needs as well as providing innovative solutions that exceed their expectations. Environmental considerations are a fundamental part of our design philosophy and we are committed to actively sustainable solutions. Innovation is the development of original and imaginative solutions that meet client and market needs, adding value in new ways. It might sound obvious, but key to our successful design of great buildings is that we listen to our clients, stakeholders and end users. We do not design buildings before meeting the people who will be using them. We design buildings for people that delight, using cutting edge technology to assist us in developing innovative designs that provide best value for money.
The cross-fertilisation of ideas between our public and private sector projects ensures innovative thinking and rigorous analysis of every design brief: our public sector projects benefit from our keen commercial instincts, honed over many years in practice. This combination of free thinking commercial approach together with our community links brings private sector development partnerships into the public sector, with added value for both.
The clear focus upon our core skills of Architecture, Interior Design and Masterplanning is reinforced by the close and mutually rewarding relationships we enjoy with project managers, cost consultancies, engineers and planning consultancies.
Our pursuit of design excellence relates not just to new construction but also involves re-use or refurbishment of redundant space in interesting and frequently listed buildings. We also provide Site Evaluation and Planning services across all our sectors, helping provide answers to important questions clients have and guiding them in the decision-making process.
Our design skills are frequently recognised in national award schemes. The Architects Journal in conjunction with the RIBA named AWW their South West Practice of the Year in their annual AJ100 awards in both 2011 and 2012, the first time a regional practice has held the position in consecutive years.
Your final design solution is tasteful but not quite understated, as is most appropriate for a four-star resort, and mixes exciting glimpses of colourful elements and carefully selected materials in the right places to enhance the overall affect, whilst still adhering to strict performance criteria, producing interiors which have the potential to exceed all expectations, meeting with both our, and most importantly our Operator’s complete satisfaction. There is nothing we would wish to omit. A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery).
