Skanska UK has been nominated for the BIM Initiative of the Year for 66 Queen Square by the prestigious Construction News Awards 2014.
One of just a few commercial developments starting in Bristol in 2013, AWW has designed 66 Queen Square to combine Georgian elegance with modern, efficient office space incorporating integrated sustainability features for long-term energy efficiency, including solar shading and solar energy capture. Skanska and AWW worked together to develop a design management and BIM Strategy with innovation and quality at its core.
All finalists will now be invited to rigorous face-to-face interviews in front of a judging panel comprising senior figures from 20 major clients.
With hundreds of entries and ever increasing competition to be shortlisted, being selected as a finalist is a fantastic achievement, demonstrating cutting-edge construction and business approaches.
